I am a #teamuk junkiee when it comes to hip-hop music. We've had legends and I mean hardcore UK hip-hop legends that have come and gone and still not recognised overseas. Some of our artists such as Sway, Dotstar and even N-Dubz have been fortunate or maybe unfortunately being recognised by record labels outside the country, mainly by the Yankees, and still have not made it big. If you ask the average white person about the names of some of these UK-based hip-hop artist, some of the replies received are 'who'?
What is it going to take for our UK based hip-hop artist to get the same recognition as the hip-hop Yankees?
5 REASONS WHY OUR RAPPERS ARE STRUGGLING TO MAKE IT?

#1) THEY LICK THE YANKEES ASSCRACKS- "ooohhh weezy new track is the isssshhh.. ooh rick ross is on fire right now#bosss.. wiz khalifa...yes teamm taylor gang'. Ask any of our UK rappers who they would love to work with and I bet you all the money in the world that they would mentioned a Yankee based rapper. Ask a Yankee based rapper e.g who they would like to work with and there is a 0.00000000000000000001% chance they would mention a U.K rapper. On a real and this is to the UK rappers- You pay Rick Ross, Weezy F baby, Tyga etc so much homage but how many of them know who you are? How many of them even follow you back on twitter? Stop licking the Yankee's asscracks and start supporting your own people even more than you are doing now. Even Lil Twist who came from nowhere is more famous and richer than half you.

#2)  MAKING MUSIC THAT THE WHITE PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE- I am sorry to say this but there is NO money in GRIME etc. As much as I hate to say this, you rappers know that most of us blacks will NEVER pay to buy a record even if it's the best out there. It's sad but tweeting or crying about it would not change most of our minds -___-. Get the white people on your side. They WILL step out and buy.

#3) THINKING JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE SIGNED BY A YANKEE ARTIST MEANS YOU HAVE MADE IT- I am not going to say much about this. Just ask Sway and others how it went.

#4) DJs AT RADIO STATIONS NOT GIVING OUR RAPPERS ENOUGH AIR TIME- To be honest with you, I think our UK rappers are not getting enough support from our radio stations. AND THIS IS NOT FAIR. DJ's CUMMMAARRNN!! The Yankees do not even give our artist any airtime so why is it that over here in the UK, the Yankees get 80% airtime and our own people get 20% or less at times. Support them DJ's. It is through YOU that our rappers will be recognised.

#5)  LAZY ASS MANAGERS- It's time our UK rappers start hotting up their managers. These managers are getting WAY TOO comfortable with their jobs- a major reason why our rappers are not even on the Yankee's level yet. Some of our rappers have been in the game for decades but ask how many of them have £1million in their bank account. Now ask how much Lil twist has in his account. If you've been in the game for more than 5 years and you haven't made at least 50grand off your music/promotions/sponsorships, FIRE YOUR MANAGER. THE SKY IS EVERYONE'S LIMIT. NOT ONLY THE YANKEES.
